Dr. Eddie offers both mental performance consulting and clinical sport psychology services:
Mental Performance Consulting*
Mental Performance Consulting is for high performers looking to take it up a level or overcome a slump.
Skills are taught to help you be better and more consistent than your opponents in remaining determined, focused, confident, and in control under pressure. You will learn how to overcome obstacles to excellence, get out of a performance slump, and be your best under pressure.
* Mental Training is not covered by insurance.
Clinical Sport Psychology
Clinical Sport Psychology is for high performers struggling with more significant emotional issues that are impeding performance. Severe performance anxiety and perfectionism, depression, emotional distress following injury, and fear of return to play are just a few examples.
Dr. O’Connor is an “out-of-network” provider, meaning he does not bill insurance directly. Clinical Sport Psychology services may be covered by insurance if a psychological diagnosis can be given (this will be determined at evaluation). The client must be attending sessions while in Michigan or Florida (per licensure laws.) Payment is made at time of service, and you may be provided a monthly invoice to turn into your insurance for reimbursement. Be sure to check with your insurance company before scheduling to know your benefit coverage.
